Ranthambore National Park is located about 13.5 kilometers from the city of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. The park covers an area of approximately 400 sq. km, and if combined with the area of Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary area, is around 500 sq. km. Ranthambore National Park was established initially as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary in 1955 by the Government of India. In 1973, it was declared as one of the Project Tiger reserves in India. It was on 1st November, 1980 that Ranthambore was declared a national park.

ITINERARY

Day - 1

  • Arrival at Sawai Modhopur by 09:30hrs. Pick-up from Sawai Madhopur railway station
  • Breakfast in train around 0800hrs
  • Transfer to resort at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve by road, (by open Canter) 30min journey
  • Check-In, welcome drink on arrival, breakfast at resort.
  • Some leisure time and lunch
  • Post lunch head towards first jungle safari
  • Back to resort. Evening tea and snacks
  • Dinner and overnight stay

Day - 2

  • Morning tea and biscuits before safari (At 05:30 AM)
  • Early morning safari, breakfast on safari.
  • Back to resort, some rest and lunch
  • Post lunch evening safari
  • Back to resort, evening tea and snacks
  • Dinner and overnight stay

Day - 3

  • Morning tea and biscuits before safari (At 05:30 AM)
  • Early morning safari – last safari for the tour, breakfast on safari
  • Back to resort, freshen up and pack up - lunch and check-out
  • Drop at Sawai Madhopur railway station by 16:00hrs to board respective train for return journey

  • Conveyance: Transportation between Sawai Madhpur to resort and back by Canter or similar vehicle
  • Accommodation: Accommodation at resort for 2 Nights and 3 Days
